I am an audio engineer with a specialization in sound design for visual media.
I also have more than 10 years of experience as a video editor, with a background in music videos and short films.
My biggest passion is storytelling. I believe that, as humans, it is one of the most important things we do.
I've been in love with stories my whole life, and I love to find new ways to tell them, whether it is with video, sound, or both!

Firmament
Sound Design final project for Vancouver Film School. I worked on a pre-existing animation (made by Frederic Colin, Mehdi hadi, Niels Prayer and Samir Senane), but did all of the sound myself.
I recorded and edited foley and dialogue, designed and edited sound effects and ambiences, and mixed the piece for 5.1.
The music was composed and performed by José Ángel Piña.
The text was written by me as well!
Harry Potter (sound re-design)
Fun project with a friend in university, where we recreated all the sound effects for this Quidditch scene from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
I had a lot of fun designing and editing the sound of the snitch in particular.
Nautilus (sound re-design)
Re-design sound project for Vancouver Film School.
I designed all sound effects for this sequence, and my favorite part was probably learning to add weight and punch to all the impacts.
Scrapped (video game audio)
Video game audio project for Vancouver Film School, where I was the lead on the audio team.
We worked with an existing Unity project, and implemented all audio using Wwise. I designed the UI assets, implemented the SFX, and mixed the final game.
INSIDE (sound re-design)
Full sound effects, foley and backgrounds redesign for a level from Playdead's 2016 game "INSIDE", a very atmospheric and suspenseful piece.
I had a lot of fun re-designing the shockwave level, a very cool part of the game to play as audio plays a very important part.
The music to complete the re-design was composed by José Ángel Piña.
Dialogue Editing
Some of my specific work as a dialogue editor, from dealing with alternate takes and overlapping lines to removing background noises and in general cleaning up messy dialogue using Pro Tools and Izotope RX.
Here you can see comparisons of the original production audio and then my edits that would then go into the mixing stage.
Florecer - Valeria Dávila
Music video for Monterrey artist Valeria Dávila. I worked closely with her to write the screenplay for the video, and was heavily involved during the pre-production phase.
I got the opportunity to direct the video, and also to edit the final product.
Viento - Diegoshky
This was the first music video that I got to write and direct. It's one of my favorite songs from Diegoshky's debut album, and this project meant a lot to me.
I also had the opportunity to edit the video, which was pretty fun! I loved working with all the slow-motion reverse sequences.
PM - Valeria Dávila
I co-wrote, co-directed and edited this music video for Valeria Dávila.
It was a really fun project, for a pretty special song. I really enjoy working with emerging artists, it's always a good opportunity to get to know talented people and work on projects that mean a lot to every single person that's involved.
Antología de Ciencia Ficción - Los Insurgentes
Lyric video that I edited for Monterrey rock band Los Insurgentes.
I first started getting into post-production through lyric videos, so to get a chance to make a commisioned lyric video for a local band from my hometown was very cool. This song is off of Los Insurgentes latest EP: "El Gran Final".
Sit With It (re-recording mix)
Short film about a man struggling through a divorce, who finds himself being followed by a misterious blue chair.
I had the pleasure of working as re-recording mixer for this one!

Suspense/horror short in which a nurse at a mental hospital comes face to face with the doctor's "unusual" methods. I recorded and performed foley, and assisted in the re-recording mix.
Colors of Melody
Musical about a girl who finds herself in a world where her voice is the only sound that can be heard. I performed and edited foley, and also recorded the ADR.
VFS short film about a quirky office romance. I edited the dialogue as well as the ADR, and I also edited the music.
VFS short film, a found-footage style project about a group of ghost-hunters. I edited the dialogue, and recorded and edited the ADR as well.
Comfort Zone
VFS short film in which a telepath finds himself in a tough situation. I was in charge of dialogue mixing.
Objetivo: La Luna
My thesis project in university. I produced an audio drama based on an "Adventures of Tintin" comic book.
I wrote the script, casted the actors, and recorded and edited all dialogue. I also designed/recorded all foley and sound effects, and mixed the whole piece.
The music was composed by Guillermo Llanos.
Paraderos Desconocidos
Science fiction anthology podcast with all original stories.
I was a story editor and also did the sound design, voice editing and mixing for all the episodes.
